Volunteer Opportunities

“Nothing is more beautiful than the loveliness of the woods before sunrise.” George Washington Carver

We offer a wide range of volunteer opportunities January-November. There is an endless list of outdoor tasks to complete but we also have many projects to keep us busy on rainy days and during the winter.  There are one day group projects as well as on-going come every week, kind of projects for individuals interested in a regular volunteer opportunity.

Take photographs/videos, edit photos/videos, graphic design, research projects, events coordinating, helping with Sunday Suppers, Tasting Parties, Picking bouquets to take to local businesses, general garden help, building projects, tool maintenance, nature trail maintenance, summer program leaders.

Assist with planning and organizing Granny's Spring Plant Sale  - We start planning in October for the sale in May.  It is our largest fundraiser of the year and requires detailed organizing. We need assistance with planning, organizing, designing the sale area, merchandising at the sale, marketing, recruiting and organizing volunteers.
Projects you can do from home:
On-going Research Project
We are researching and communicating with school gardens across the country. We are seeking volunteers to help with an on-going research project using the internet to gather information on school garden programs. This can be done from home at your convenience.  Please respond the this email if you are interested.
