Is this workshop
for you?
Are you
thinking about starting a school garden
in the fall? Did you
start a school garden this spring
and are wondering how to relate it to the
curriculum in the fall? Are you a teacher? Did
someone install a school garden at your school
and you want to learn how to make use of it as a
teaching tool? Are you a volunteer and would
like to learn about how to lead a class in the
gardens? Did you start a school garden at
your school and are looking to network with
others? Have you just finished your first season
after starting a school garden program and now
know all of the questions you should have asked
earlier? Would you like to learn how to
use our lesson plans and garden calendar to
create a program that works for your school? Do
you want hands-on experience with lessons for
the fall?
We
will cover these and more at the day long
workshop on Saturday, June 2, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. |
Saturday, June 2,
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Lunch - we will provide
one of Granny's fresh from the garden with
everything salads (you
will help prepare) with fresh baked
bread. If
this does not work for you, please pack. We
have a lot to cover in a short period of time so
we will have a working lunch.
We learned from previous workshops that no
matter the stated topic, each attracts school
garden developers and
educators in different stages of
development. So, we plan a general agenda for
each workshop with the details defined by a
pre-workshop questionnaire that helps identify
this particular group’s needs.
Every participant is required to complete the
questionnaire prior to the start of the
workshop. |
