Granny's Victory Garden Camps
Day 5
Granny's
Garden School

Keeping kids in touch
with nature
Turning kids on to growing, cooking and eating organic produce

We were supposed to take a hike on the nature trail on Friday but both weeks it poured in the morning.

So, we went to the Granny office where we
did lots of crafts.

Then, Granny showed us how to make blackberry cobbler!
On both days, it the rain stopped about 20 minutes before our guests were to arrive.  So, we headed back to the gardens where we dried off the tables and chairs, set the tables and picked a bouquet for the center.  Granny and her helpers heated of the potato soup, sliced the bread and tossed the salad while we entertained our guests by showing them around the gardens.

Everyone loved the potato soup and were amazed that the beets tasted so good! Dessert was the real hit, though.  The first week we made ice cream and the second week we served blackberry cobbler.

After lunch, everyone picked one last
bouquet to take home.

We became friends.
