Lemon Cucumber
This yellow, rounded American heirloom produces large quantities of crisp, sweet, easily digested fruits. Although outstanding for salads or pickling, chances are (just like us) you will end up eating most of these delectable nuggets out-of-hand like an apple. Best picked at about 2-inches in diameter.  Grows 3-6 feet and produces 3-4 inch fruits continuously until frost. (65 days)

Bread & Butter Pickles

Cucumber Sandwich Bar (cookie/shape cutters, varieties of bread, thin slices of cucumbers, chopped chives, selection of spreads (cream cheese with chopped herbs, homemade sweet mustard, etc.), thinly sliced small yellow & red tomatoes, etc.  Class participates in preparation.  Invite another class to join your class in the garden.  Have a table set up and let everyone create their own cucumber sandwich. 

Cucumber, Armenian - Fruits have mild, light green, heavily ribbed skin that is not bitter and needs no peeling.  Cucumbers grow 2-3' long, but are best eaten when less than 2 1/2 " across.  Harvest 70 days.  7-14 days
