Suitable for structures and baskets. Growth - Fast, Light

variety that left to its own devices makes a 50ft tree that is often planted
for fast windbreak and conservation work. This is one of the oldest willows
in cultivation, we highly recommend its golden yellow stems for basketry
and floral design work. Manage by either coppicing or pollarding. |

'Rubykins' |
Structures, baskets, and catkins in Spring.Mature height
- Growth - Fast, Light - S, Soil - Med.-Wet
An attractive little tree with narrow blue green leaves
that flutter in the wind. Dark red catkins and red-pink cut stems are useful
in floral arrangements. We find this one of the first catkins to appear,
useful for insects and bees that poke their heads out on warm February
days. Produces great rods for basketry. |
