A Garden in a Bucket is a program developed by Granny’s Garden School to encourage children to become life-long backyard gardeners. For the $15 registration fee, each participant will receive:
  • a bucket and garden trowel from Home Depot.
  • a coupon for a tomato and a green pepper plant from Blooms & Berries.
  • a kid friendly selection of flower and vegetable seeds.
As members of the program, the children will be invited to visit Granny’s Gardens for perennial plant starts and other plants i.e. walking onions, as they come available.  In addition, parents and children are welcome to join Granny and/or her staff and volunteers in the gardens any Saturday morning beginning in May to learn from hand-on experience

There are many, many resources on the intenet and at your local library where you can learn how to grow just about anything.  Here is a link to a page on our website to help get you started.
