We stopped both of these outreach activities in 2009.  We did too good of a job securing donations and everyone loved it.  It was a totally free program except it started taking a lot of time from our mission.

In Granny's Craft Room we provide the children with a wide variety of natural and recycled crafty "stuff" and hot glue guns and lots of glue sticks and let their imaginations go.  It is amazing to see some of the creations they come up with.

The Take-Apart-Table was a smashing hit until we took away the hammers! Just kidding.  We did learn very quickly not to have hammers available, though.   The children really love the Take-Apart-Table where they learn how things are put together and how they work by taking them apart. By the end of the day, there is nothing left but nuts, bolts and plastic shells.
