Each group has it's own unique challenges and advantages. The class gardens are the core of our program.  Teachers bring their  students out weekly to participate in a variety of hands-on garden based lessons.  They begin with planting potatoes in March around St. Patrick's Day and continue through the end of school.  They pick up again in the fall planting a few late crops, harvesting and finally putting the gardens to bed around Thanksgiving week. The class gardens are grouped together in locations all around the primary and elementary school grounds.
