We
know it can be a bit overwhelming when you first start working with the
garden program. There is so much to know. You may have already accessed
some of these resources. If so, please revisit them. We are
constantly improving and updating.
If you have not already met them, let me introduce Paula Carlsen and Jody Maher. They are experienced Granny's Garden School volunteers. Thanks to a generous supporter, we have funding to hire them for this fall. They are the reason we are able to make the great leap we have in advancing the program at this time. Their job is to work together to organize and further develop the class garden program, train and guide the class garden coordinators, serve as the temporary coordinator for teachers without a parent volunteer and continue the development of nature focused lesson plans and other support material. |

| The program is in a time of great transition.
We are taking what I and other long-time volunteers have stored in our
heads, matching it up with the needs of the gardens and the need for teachers
to meet state standards and prepare for testing and creating lesson
plans to guide you. We are barely one step ahead of your need for
the plans. We appreciate your help and your patience. The program would
not be possible without you.
