Our seed-related
activities focus on collecting seeds in the fall and packaging seeds in the
winter. We collect seeds in October since this is the time the majority of
our favorite seed-collecting plants have reached the seed stage of their life
cycle. Packaged seeds are used in
Granny's Seed Sharing Program which offers seeds to
teachers and developers of new school garden programs when they attend workshops
and training with Granny’s Garden School.
Students also package seeds to use in the spring planting season.
