Wear your apron.  It's required!  The apron serves as your identification badge for Granny's Garden School.  Aprons are located at the garden school office.  Please wear the apron when you come to work with a class.  In addition to identifying you as part of the Granny's Garden School team, the pockets are handy for storing keys, cell phone, camera, scissors and seeds. The aprons cost about $8 each and when we order a new batch, we have to locate a volunteer to embroider our name on them. So, please take care of the one you take and return it if you leave the program.
  • Dress in layers.  You may start out feeling cool but will warm up as you work with the kids.
  • Wear appropriate shoes - not sandles or thong type shoes.
  • Lock your purse in your car.
  • It's a fact, you will get dirty.  So, keep that in mind when deciding if you should wear your new jeans.
