Connecting children

with nature

Summer, 2004 Thomas Deardon's Eagle Scout Projects
Eagle Scouts New Project Ideas Cub/Boy Scouts Brownies/Girl Scouts

.

Thomas Deardon built a bird blind, steps up a steep grade and mulched the entire nature trail.

We already had some of the supplies purchased with a grant from the Ohio Enviromental Education Fund.  Thomas secured a donation of $150 from the Loveland Fraternal Order of the Eagles then Lowe's sold him the needed supplies at cost.  The project took a total of  251 service hours from Thomas, friends, family, church members and other Scouts.

Laying mulch on the path

A few stumps had to be removed.

We take the straw out here and there to create little viewing windows.
